【摘要】:Thisfire-test-responsestandardcoversaprocedureformeasuringfirepropertiesassociatedwithflammablebehaviorofsurfacefinishesusedonnoncombustiblesubstratesaboardship(Note1).Inparticular,theseincludesurfacefinishesintendedforuseinshipconstructionsuchasdecksurfacingmaterials,bulkheadandceilingveneersincludinganyadhesivesusedtofastentheveneerstothebulkheadsandceilings,paints,andexposedtreatmentofinsulatingmaterials.Note1-ThistestmethodhasbeenpreparedtocloselyfollowthetestprocedureofIMOResolutionA.653(16)(1).Optionalprovisionsnotapplicabletothedomesticuseofthistestmethodhavebeendeleted.Testsperformedaccordingtothistestmethodareintendedtoyieldfirepropertiesthat,whenappropriatelyinterpreted,arepotentiallyusefultoselectmaterialsandsurfacetreatmentsthatwilllimittherapidgrowthandspreadoffire.Thistestmethodrequiresaspecificrangeofspecimenradiantthermalexposureformeasuringfireproperties.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
